Just a reminder, there will be a three day hold on most the funds...they allow a certain amount instantly, but keep it in mind. Love the app so far! A suggestion: add a notes option for stock holdings and the wish list where we can save and edit insights related to individual stocks.

You will be taken to a lower amount without any kind of notification or warning when it happens. Then, potentially be out hundreds of dollars you were depending on. No other bank I have heard of tells you that you are approved for $350 then takes that amount back down to $50 without ever being late or missing a payment. Then never notifies you to the change so you can prepare for that loss.

The main downside is how often the app or website is down, not working correctly or needing maintenance. Can definitely affect you if needing a Quick Look into transactions or to transfer money.

Literally not….so when I was able to navigate this app without having to push the talk bubble for a chat agent…I felt like a grown up, and I’m 51 years old! Everything is right at your fingertips and very self explanatory. It really makes banking online less scary and intimidating.

I appreciate the buckets for allotting my funds and empowering me to set time sensitive financial goals. Other features include badges for reaching goals, a cyber-secure platform, Zelle compatibility, & 24/7 customer phone service that never has waits and puts you in touch with a person rather quickly. Working here would be my retirement career. Cheers to the developers and Ally employees for making it that way.

Transferring money between institutions when you’re ready to spend your savings takes several days (that’s frustrating when you’re doing construction on your home). Everyone we’ve ever spoken to has been kind, but there seems to be a disconnect between the people on the phone and the people managing account security. Our accounts have been locked (without us knowing) multiple times after answering all security questions, confirming change of address after a big move, and confirming wire transfer amounts for our home purchase. These things were resolved after phone calls, but they should’ve never happened in the first place. Ally is an online bank. It’s supposed to be easy and convenient, yet I find that they don’t trust their own security measures, and I end up spending my time on the phone jumping through all of the security questions repeatedly. If you just want the savings, it’s great. But when you’re ready to spend, plan ahead and do a bulk transfer of the funds you plan to spend so you’re not stuck waiting for Ally to release your money. (Example: It’s Wednesday, the 8th and I just requested a transfer to my regular bank. My money won’t show up in my external account until Tuesday, the 14th because of a Monday holiday. Ally claims to be 24/7 but their transfer times prove otherwise.)

It boosted my credit score up, which was amazing but somehow I owed two dollars which I have no idea how I owed that when I paid off my credit card. Current has stated neither party I sent used my referral code and that we can sign up for other promotions when the reason for us signing up was for the $150 bonus not nothing else. Than customer service ain’t no help cause like why not fix the problem Current can see when a person opened the account and all. I never had a problem with adding ppl on CHIME and I got whatever promotions they had available to me, I feel like current is a scam low key cause why don’t none of the promotions work. I don’t recommend them for bank usage!

You'll have to speak to an email ONLY, nobody will issue even a temporary credit and you have to wait for 3 months. I'm not making that up. I thought that I would like this bank, but it's awful. They want to shove everything off on some poor team in the philippines that has to take the brunt of all the anger and they can't do anything to help you. All part of a master plan to make customers trapped.

I had to freeze my accounts myself. Now they tell me it could take 90 days to get my money back. Completely unacceptable. If you want security and efficient customer service- go somewhere else. They give you playful app, but total lack of protection.
I can also make an even snappier 1–2 sentence version that really sticks out in the App Store feed if you want. Do you want me to do that?

The app conflicted with my email account and since I wasn’t getting emails to confirm my trades Sofi started mailing me confirmation at $2 per. Having multiple automated investment it sent my account negative and hence more fees. Immediately stopped using the app. Robinhood seems superior!

When I try the chat bot it doesn't provide the help I need or solve any real issues. The app doesn't allow me to add an outside bank. I have had to get creative so I can move my money around. I'm tired of doing that. I just recently referred a friend and he is able to add a bank and move money with no problem. Other than that nice bank.

I don't think that is fair to me how Varo set the date possibly from time to time several days away from my deposit times. Overall Varo is still GREAT they have helped me in so many ways. I like Banking with VARO. Still 5 stars from me 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

First of all, I couldn’t add my bank to make an auto loan payment because it kept saying the routing number was wrong. I tried to submit a secure message to notify them that their app is broken and the message wouldn’t send, it just kept returning an error. Then I tried to leave feedback about the poor experience but the Feedback button did nothing. I clicked it over and over but it has no functionality. Literally every action I took using the app failed. Must use website since the iPhone app is worthless.

I really liked the UI and the builder card but before committing fully I wanted to test the features. Had multiple charges I didn’t recognize. So I submitted a dispute. They only disputed one of the charges and closed it without explanation just a notification that it was “lost”. No follow up, no checking on the other charges. All these promises about benefits for linking your direct deposit? They sounded great so I tried it out and linked my direct deposit, it came in and no benefits were provided. Spoke to an agent about it and he wanted me to upload a pay stub. First banking app ever to do that. My direct deposits have worked fine everywhere else, so I didn’t even waste the time uploading anything. I’m a freelancer so maybe the experience is different for others, but this just wasn’t for me. If you do any type of freelancing or gig work, I highly advise against going with Current. There are no benefits and their customer service is essentially useless and feel nonexistent. Talking to their AI then getting transferred to an agent still felt like I was talking to an AI. Closed account. I’m not trusting a company like this with any of my money.

Review 4 (2⭐) [Negative] [Group: Support]: It was great for the first year or so but then my account started getting charges not made by me, I got so many new cards and even if I didnt use them they would still get charged. contacting support only gets you new cards and disputes started, other than that it's a really insecure bank and they can't do anything else.

Web, etc. You cannot be a bank and have unreliable systems that mess with people's ability to access their money. Enjoy Chapter 7 in a few years, there's no way SoFi is a sustainable business.

I was locked out of my account for an entire month and had no access to my funds but they allowed transactions. how is that possible when I the legal owner of the account couldn't even get my money out to pay my rent, storages, etc... then once I verified my identity I abd tried to change my phone number. in my acct but they want to send a code to the phone number that I don't hav e anymore!!!! which is the problem I'm having still.

They call me because they have to verify the check fine. the said they called the insurance company that issued the check. then told me the call dropped and would call back. later I get an alert my account is restricted. Call them and they can't give any info but they can't clear the check and close my account. perfectly legit check, called the insurance company they have no record of any check verification call. pitiful company.
